James Austin, DO
Dr. James Randall Austin is a board-certified physician and the founder of Rapid Care Family Medical, which he established in June of 1996. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 1990 and has devoted more than 30 years to providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients throughout northeast Alabama

He specializes in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Preventative Medicine, and Obesity Management, delivering a well-rounded, preventative approach that supports long-term health and wellness. After decades of experience in a range of clinical settings, Dr. Austin now practices exclusively at Rapid Care Family Medical in Albertville, Alabama.
Respected for his clinical skill, calm demeanor, and faith-based approach to medicine, Dr. Austin has led Rapid Care to become one of the area’s most trusted and patient-focused medical practices.
He and his wife, Rebecca, live in Guntersville, Alabama, where they enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren. In his free time, Dr. Austin enjoys fly fishing and values quiet moments of reflection in nature. He is a devoted Christian who believes in treating every patient with dignity, compassion, and individualized care.
Stephanie Saint, PA-C
Stephanie Saint PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant with a strong background in both hematology/oncology and primary care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2015. She went on to complete her Master of Science in Physician Assistant studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, graduating in 2020 and becoming board certified in 2021.
She began her career in hematology and oncology, working with the Cancer Care Center and later Clearview Cancer Center. In November 2024, she transitioned to internal and family medicine, joining Rapid Care Family Medical Center, where she continues to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
She lives in Guntersville, Alabama with her husband and three children. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with family, trying new food, art, karaoke, and cheering on her kids in their activities.
Heather Lumpkin, MSN, FNP-C
Heather is a native of Union Grove, Alabama and a 2010 graduate of Brindlee Mountain High School. She earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Snead State Community College in 2013 and began her nursing career in orthopedics at Riverview Regional Medical Center. Over the next 11 years, Heather gained extensive experience as a registered nurse in Orthopedics, the Operating Room, ICU, and Hospice care. In 2022, she her her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Jacksonville State University and in 2014, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Alabama.
Heather and her husband, Jason, have been married since May 2021 and currently reside in Glencoe, Alabama. Together, they are the proud parents of four wonderful children: Josh, Jaxson, Jaycee, and Emma. Their family is actively involved at Cahaba City Church in Trussville and shares a special love for all things Disney.
Heather considers it a true blessing from the Lord to serve patients and families as a Nurse Practioner at Rapid Care Family Medical.
